Poyanil Hospital reception area is situated in the ground floor near outpatient departments.

Front office staffs duties are

  • Proper Information’s passed to patients and visitors in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
  • Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
  • Helps patients in distress by responding to emergencies.
  • Collect all investigations payment (Lab, X-Ray, ECG, Scan and Procedures) in the reception counter.    
  • To ensure proper bills are produced based on charges for the procedures and investigations performed in accordance with the Schedule of Charges of the Hospital.
  • Preparing inpatient final bills for all holidays discharge and night discharge patient.
  • Forwarding the cash collection summary, and billing sheets to the Accounts Department on daily basis.


  • Every staff of the Reception tries to provide accurate and satisfactory information about the hospital to the visitors.
  • The staff at the Reception interacts with the patients and their family members and guide them to the proper sections and procedures.
  • They assist the patients to fill up the registration forms and direct them to the registration counter.
  • They receive a number of enquiry calls and every caller is provided with proper and accurate information.
  • The Reception staff helps the patient’s relatives to locate where the patients are admitted. They also keep the patients and the public informed about the various health care schemes available in the Hospital.
  • They play the major role in creating awareness about the benefits available in Poyanil hospital.
